Oil Clear Purifying Cleanser

Oily skin produces more sebum as compared to other skin types, this can make the skin feel oily and give a greasy appearance. Thus it is recommended to use lightweight cleansers which contain ingredients like Salicylic Acid, Ursolic Acid, and Zinc PCA. The ingredients work together to control sebum production, absorb excess oil, reduce skin irritation/redness, and eliminate acne-causing bacteria.

Double cleansing refers to a method of cleansing your face with first, an oil-based cleanser and then with a water-based cleanser. This ensures the removal of dirt, pore-clogging and acne-causing bacteria. It is best recommended to be followed by people with very oily skin, wearing a full face of makeup daily, or those who are frequently exposed to air pollution.

Although you may be tempted to wash your face multiple times a day, it is recommended to stick to washing your face not more than twice a day. This is because over washing the face can lead to more oil/sebum production. If you have very oily skin and an active lifestyle, then you can wash your face thrice a day - once in the morning, once before bed, and once after exercise.

Non-comedogenic refers to products that do not clog the pores. As oily skin produces more sebum, products that clog pores may not be the best as this can lead to acne breakouts. Hence it is important for the products to be non-comedogenic.
